How often do UEFA Champions League matches end level, and how often do they go over 2.5 goals? The numbers below come from 252 matches in our results archive (2019–2026): the draw rate, the Over 2.5 rate, goals per match and how often both teams score.

“All leagues” for the draw rate is the rate across all 45,220 matches of the 64 competitions in the draw rates table. The other rows are the average of the 82 leagues in the Over 2.5 rates table, each league counting once.
Draws are rarer in the Champions League than in the average league: 17.5% against 28.2%. Only 1 of the other 63 competitions in our draw table draws less often. The Champions League is not one of the competitions the Just Draws model picks from, so there is no draw record for it.
How much to trust it
252 matches is a useful sample but not a large one, and it is a sample, not the full history: the competition plays well over a hundred matches every season, so these are a fraction of everything played since 2019. At this size a rate carries a margin of about ±5 percentage points for the draw rate and ±6 for Over 2.5 (95% confidence), so the 17.5% could sit anywhere from roughly 13% to 22%.
Read it as "draws are clearly less common here than in the average league", which holds even at the edge of that margin, and not as an exact figure. Don't read anything into differences of a point or two between seasons or competitions, and remember that past rates don't guarantee anything about the next match.

Over 2.5 is the share of matches with three goals or more, and goals per match is the average total, both counted at full time. They are measured over every match in the sample, not a selection.
